Considering that soup is a very popular dish in most households, I thought it would be a good idea to discuss some tasty soup recipes.
My personal favourite is Chicken Noodle soup, due to the fact that it can be very tasty if prepared properly, and is also very easy to make. It might sound very minimalist but there is actually a good mix of ingredients.
The whole process takes less than 30 minutes, which is perfect if you’re not sure what to make. The main ingredients include chicken stock and meat, egg noodles and your vegetables of choice. My kids like carrots in their soup but you can easily put in something like potatoes or corn. The egg noodles can also be substituted for pasta if you prefer.
The good thing about Chicken Noodle soup is that it’s quite filling. Typically, most people consider soup to be a starter dish and one that is included along with your main meal. However, as long as you add in plenty of vegetables and some chicken meat, this soup should fill you up.
To get started, all you need to do is heat up the pot, and put in chicken stock. Let it warm up for a couple of minutes and then add in your preferred ingredients. Bring to the boil for about 5 minutes.
If you’re good at multi-tasking, get another saucepan and fill with water. Bring it to the boil, and cook the noodles for 5-10 minutes. Once they’re fully cooked, drain the water and mix the noodles with the chicken stock and meat. Then, just let it cook for a few more minutes and wait until it’s very hot.
I realise this sounds very basic but the end result is actually delicious. My kids loved it and are asking me to make it for them again.
As always, please let me know how you get on with this recipe.
