The Best Soup Maker Review: Morphy Richards 501011

The Morphy Richards Saute and Soup Maker is quite cheap and works brilliantly.Creating a warm soup may sound easy but it isn’t if you are to do everything manually. Morphy Richards have always provided a helping hand by creating a couple of high quality soup maker models in the past. From customer reviews, it seems like these have been very successful in most households. As a response to this, Morphy Richards have aimed to further strengthen their foothold in this market with their Sauté and Soup machine.

But what does it do and why the fancy name?

Well, the name seems to indicate that this is essentially an appliance that will blend your ingredients and create the perfect warm soup for a chilly day. However, there’s also a Sauté feature that will be considered to be quite handy for most of us. This feature indicates that alongside making soup, the machine can also sear meat and lots of other ingredients like different veggies.

When it comes to the design, this product is quite good looking and is bound to catch some attention while sitting at the countertop in your kitchen. Obviously the main drawback is that this soup maker is completely closed off. This means that you won’t be able to monitor the cooking process from the outside. Despite this, there are lots of other features that will impress you.

Firstly, we get a kettle-like design that has a capacity of 1.6 litres, something that is quite a lot especially if you’re going to be preparing a lot of food or will be feeding a large family. In addition to this, this product is capable of making a lot more than just soup. On the inside, we have serrator blades that would be efficient against all kinds of ingredients used to make creamy milkshakes and thick smoothies. The serrator blades are usually associated with better quality when compared to normal blades and they are certain to stay much sharper for a longer period of time too.

As mentioned above, the design is quite good in terms of the appearance. The good thing is that it looks very simple and comprises of simple controls for easier functionality and usability. There are four different modes that allow you to select the texture. For example, you can press the smooth button for a smooth texture or a chunky button for a bit thicker chunky taste.

The Sauté mode is conveniently located on the handle of the jug and this makes it very easily to use. All of these features and functions ensure that the soup maker is extremely easy to use, something that would definitely be considered as an advantage for the demographics that Morphy Richards are trying to target.

The performance is probably the main part and this does that to perfection. The soup will definitely be perfectly cooked but some of the solid bits might not be cooked as well. The solution for this is to cut these ingredients into smaller pieces. The bottom line is that this soup maker works to perfection. It’s simple to use and after you’ve chopped all the ingredients, all you need to do is throw these into the machine and everything will be ready within 20 minutes. Give it another 10 minutes to cool off and you’ll have delicious soup ready without you doing all the hard work. Again, my only wish is that if only I could see how everything is being cooked inside! But at least, the machine beeps when the soup is ready!

For this reason, I would probably give consider this as the best soup maker out there and give it a 9 out of 10!
